In the framework of vocational training cooperation between the German government and Vietnam, on 23rd October 2013, at the headquarter of the Ministry of Construction, Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan had received the delegation of Vocational Training Innovation Program in Vietnam which belongs to GIZ.
At the meeting, the Germany experts mentioned about the training associated with environmental protection, energy saving in handling technical and professional behaviors. The new issues are addressed at the meeting as "green job training" to promote environmental awareness of students trained in the vocational training programs.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan appreciated the cooperation between Vietnam - German in particular the supportive activities such as the construction of the Germany centers, training programs and teacher exchange which bring practical benefits for the construction training. The Deputy Minister proposed to expand cooperation at a higher level such as to increase the exchange of experience in social work training in German for Vietnam, create the attraction for young apprentices, use employment after training, financial resources ... GIZ should study to form a training center "green job training" at a friendly environment training organization in Vietnam. This should be a good model which can be replicated later.
GIZ delegation expressed the wish to cooperate with Vietnam and the Ministry of Construction in the development of vocational training system in general and the construction industry in particular towards improving the quality of labor and for environmental purposes. GIZ is expected to build a green job training center in Vietnam with a total initial budget of EUR 6.5 million including budgets for equipment, training funding, lecturers. The contents to exchange the construction experience in mechanisms and policies, institutional training will be discussed in the framework to exchange dialogue in PPP project with Bau Sachsen.
