From May 21st to May 29th, 2026, an inter-ministerial working group led by Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van, along with the participation of the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment Tran Van Khai, representatives from the Government Office, the Ministry of Justice, and specialized departments and divisions of the Ministry of Construction, visited and worked in China and the Russian Federation to study and exchange international experience on planning and architectural management, serving the purpose of amending the Architecture Law and improving the institutional framework of the Vietnamese construction industry.

On May 29th, 2026, a bilateral meeting took place in Hanoi between the Minister of Construction of Vietnam, Tran Hong Minh, and the Minister of Public Works and Transport of Laos, Leklay Sivilay, to strengthen exchanges and cooperation and promote the implementation of strategic transportation and infrastructure projects between the two countries. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Laos to Vietnam and leaders of units from both Ministries attended the meeting.

Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan met and worked with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland in charge of International Trade, Jarno Syrjala, and a delegation of Finnish businesses to exchange views and promote cooperation in the fields of transportation infrastructure, smart cities, green construction, and digital transformation, on May 29th, 2026, in Hanoi. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Vietnam, Pekka Voutilainen, and leaders from various units of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland attended the meeting.

As part of a working trip to Northern Europe to study experiences in law revision and promote bilateral cooperation, the inter-ministerial delegation led by Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Xuan Sang held its first productive working day with leading Swedish maritime management agencies and partners in Gothenburg, on May 22nd, 2026.

The Vietbuild Da Nang International Exhibition 2026, themed “Construction – Building Materials – Real Estate – Interior & Exterior Decoration,” opened on May 6, featuring nearly 1,000 booths from 220 domestic and international enterprises.

On May 7^th, 2026, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van held a reception and working session with a delegation of French enterprises visiting Vietnam to attend the France–Vietnam Railway Forum organized by Business France, the trade agency of the French Embassy in Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan emphasized that, with a spirit of solidarity, cooperation, and proactive adaptation, ASEAN countries will work together to overcome current challenges and continue developing the a stable, safe and efficient aviation sector.

Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh and the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yun-duk held talks on April 21 in Hanoi.

General Secretary and President Tô Lâm and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping witnessed the signing ceremony, covering a wide range of areas between ministries, sectors, and localities of the two countries, including two documents related to railway development.

On April 16^th, 2026, in Ha Noi, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van held a meeting with a high-level business delegation from the US-ASEAN Business Council, co-led by Penny Burtt, President of Boeing Southeast Asia and Mr. Vu Tu Thanh, Acting Regional Managing Director and Head of USABC's representative office in Vietnam, to discuss strengthening cooperation in transport infrastructure, urban development, and logistics.
