From May 21st to May 29th, 2026, an inter-ministerial working group led by Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van, along with the participation of the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment Tran Van Khai, representatives from the Government Office, the Ministry of Justice, and specialized departments and divisions of the Ministry of Construction, visited and worked in China and the Russian Federation to study and exchange international experience on planning and architectural management, serving the purpose of amending the Architecture Law and improving the institutional framework of the Vietnamese construction industry.

On May 29th, 2026, a bilateral meeting took place in Hanoi between the Minister of Construction of Vietnam, Tran Hong Minh, and the Minister of Public Works and Transport of Laos, Leklay Sivilay, to strengthen exchanges and cooperation and promote the implementation of strategic transportation and infrastructure projects between the two countries. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Laos to Vietnam and leaders of units from both Ministries attended the meeting.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Vietnam, Pekka Voutilainen, and leaders from various units of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland attended the meeting.
