The Japanese Kyocera Mita group is investing US$250 million to build and operate a laser printer factory in Vietnam in autumn.
According to the Nikkei newspaper, the new factory will be built in an industrial zone in Hai Phong city on an area of 70,000sq.m at a cost of US$62.5 million.

When it is put into operation in October 2011, the factory will produce around 150,000 printers a year and is targeted to produce nearly 450,000 per year by 2016.

Kyocera Mita will recruit around 1,000 workers for the initial period aiming to hire a total of 5,000 workers by 2016.

This will be Kyocera Mita’s biggest factory, even bigger than the main factory in Guangxi, China.
