This book contains an English translation of the Kenchikushi Law (Law No. 202, 1950, recent amendment Law No. 114, 2006), the Kenchikushi Law Enforcement Order, the Kenchikushi Law Enforcement Regulations, Notifications, and Guidelines (some of which are abstracts). The Kenchikushi Law (hereinafter referred to as “the Law”) provides a legal framework for qualifications of professionals engaged in architectural design, construction administration, and related services, accompanied by other documents that prescribe specifics about enforcement of the Law (see the diagram below).These as a whole cover the scope of exclusive services, license, qualifying examinations, operation of Kenchikushi office, penal provisions and others related to Kenchikushi.
