PM Nguyen Tan Dung has signed a document amending and supplementing operation regulations of the Nghi Son Economic Zone (EZ) in Thanh Hoa province.

With a total area of 106,000ha, the EZ was planned to become a multi-branch industrial complex with a focus on building and operating effectively a deep water port, oil refinery, petrochemicals and basic industries.
The EZ also aims to create many jobs, enhance training and improve the quality of human resources in order to forming a high-quality human resource training center in the region.
As for 2025, a favorable investment and business climate will be developed while important socio-economic infrastructure will be constructed to attract local and international investors to the EZ.
After 2025, the EZ will become developed in industry, services, trade, finance, socio-culture, eco-tourism, economics, security and national defence while synchronized modern infrastructure will be invested in a green and sustainable manner.
