On 26th September, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi signed the Circular 15/2013/TT-BXD promulgating the national technical standard of "energy efficient buildings" code QCVN 09:2013/BXD.
The National Technical Standard for energy efficient building prescribed technical requirements required to comply with the design, new construction or renovation of residential buildings (offices, hotels, hospitals, schools, commercial buildings, service and residential buildings) with a total floor area of 2500 m2 upward.
The Standard specifies the technical requirements required to adhere to all organizations and individuals whose activities are related to the construction of energy efficiency. This Circular takes effect from the date of 15th November 2013 and replaces Decision dated 17th November 2005 No. 40/2005/TT-BXD on QCXDVN 09:2005 "Vietnam Construction Standards - energy efficiency buildings".
