On March 23, 2023, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi received and worked with Mr. Shimizu Akira, Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam on cooperation relations between the two sides including problems related to underground jacking technology. Leaders of functional departments and agencies under the Ministry of Construction; leaders and experts of JICA attended the meeting.

On March 23, 2023, the Institute of Construction Economics in collaboration with the Embassy of the United Kingdom held a workshop on "Capacity building to support the promulgation of regulations and policies to apply BIM model for projects" in Viet Nam", in presence of representatives of ministries, branches, Departments of Construction, management boards specialized in construction; construction enterprises; national and international experts.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van chaired the awarding ceremony of the Certificate of Merit of the Minister of Construction to Mr. Jin Toriyama - Second Secretary, Japanese Embassy to Vietnam on March 17^th in presence of leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction, representatives of the Japanese Embassy to Vietnam.

The Information Center (Ministry of Construction) cooperated with VIETBUILD International Construction Exhibition Organization Company to organize the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition VIETBUILD Hanoi 2023, with the theme "Construction - Building Materials - Real Estate & Interior and Exterior Decoration”, on March 15^th.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van had a working session with the delegation of the United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN-Habitat) led by Mr. Bruno Dercon, Regional Director Asia-Pacific to further strengthen cooperation between two sides, in presence of leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction and experts from UN-Habitat, on March 10^th.

The Ministry of Construction chaired and coordinated with the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) in Vietnam to organize a workshop to summarize the implementation of the law on planning in accordance with the Law on Urban Planning, the Law on Construction 2014 and propose policies in the Law on Urban and Rural Planning, on March 10^th. This is one of the activities of the Ministry of Construction to implement the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister on reviewing and perfecting institutions, urban development associated with rural development. Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van chaired the workshop. Representatives of the Government Office, leaders of the Department of Construction, the Department of Planning and Architecture of the provinces and centrally-run cities, and a large number of domestic and international experts attended the workshop.

The Central Economic Commission (CEC) of Vietnam, the Ministry of Construction in partnership with the French Development Agency (AFD), have jointly organized the first seminar amongst its series of national-level seminars on strengthening the resilience and recovery capacity of Vietnam urban areas from the impacts of climate change, on March 7^th. This seminar is organized under the framework of  the Water and Natural Resources Management Fund (WARM Facility) funded by the European Union.

Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction had a meeting and worked with a high-ranking delegation of the Dominican Republic’s United Left Movement (MIU) led by MIU General Secretary and Minister of Regional Integration Policies of the Dominican Republic, Miguel Mejia, on February 22^nd.

Academy of Managers for Construction and Cities under the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction and the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held a bilateral cooperation conference in 2023 to establish Vietnam-Korea Cooperation Center on smart cities and construction technology in presence of representatives of the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Construction Technology (KICT), the Korean Institute of Human Settlement; Korea Land and Housing Corporation; Korea Advanced Infrastructure Technology Agency; representatives of the Academy of Managers for Construction and Cities, the Department of Urban Development, the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of Architectural Planning (Ministry of Construction) on February 15^th.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van worked with a delegation of the World Bank (WB) led by Ms. Maria Angelica Sotomayor - Water Practice Manager, East Asia and Pacific Region at The World Bank on February 7, 2023.
