Attending the ceremony, there also were Deputy Minister Nguyen Tran Nam, Vice Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Van Suu, representatives from the MOC’s functional departments and agencies, Gia Lam District People’s Committee, Vietinbank and Viglacera’s leaders, reporters and journalists from central and local media agencies.
According to Viglacera’s report, the Project will be carried out on 5 lots called NO1, NO2, NO3, NO4, NO6 with the total area of 6.2 ha in Dang Xa II New Urban Area and the total investment of 850 billion VND, forming apartments ranging from 33 to 44 to 55 m2 which will be sold at less than 9 million VND/m2 – a reasonable and affordable price in present to almost all low income people. The number of apartments of 33 m2 exceeds 60%, while that of 44 m2 and 55 m2 accounts equallyfor 20%. It is expected to transfer some first social houses in the Tet holiday of 2014. After finishing in the third quarter of 2015, this project will supply 2,500 houses with the total floor area of 160,000 m2 to 6,000 citizens.
Chairman Nguyen The Thao spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen The Thao, the Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee, praised Viglacera for their effort in implementing one of the most important policy of the Government and State, which was to build social housing for low income people in recent years. Mr. Thao, by the way, thanked the MOC’s leaders for their guiding and supporting timely.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the project building 2,500 social houses held by Viglacera today presented the right direction of Viglacera in the present, according to Mr. Thao, and was in accordance with the guide from the Government and State to solve housing problem for low incom people in Ha Noi capital.

When lauching the groundbreaking ceremony, Minister Dung highly appreciated Ha Noi People’s Committee for coworking with the MOC in implementing the National Housing Development Strategy, Viglacera for pioneering in building social housing. Minister Dung reccommended Viglacera to improve their products’ quality, especially those in this project, by using domestic e-friendly products, applying advanced technology… to make Dang Xa New Urban Area a model of urban area.
