The biggest one in the EZ has total investment of US $875 million funded by Singaporean investor. It is expected that the EZ will attract VND 30 trillion-35 trillion of investments in 2011-2015, according to the EZ’s Management Board.
The Management Board has encouraged investors to pump money in perfecting the EZ’s infrastructure, which has been basically built. Infrastructure development will be welcomed under PPP, BOT and BT models.
A number of preferential policies have been developed to attract more investors to Chân Mây-Lăng Cô EZ to realize the goal of developing the EZ into a key satellite urban area of Huế City.
One of those stipulated that businesses will be exempted from corporate tax for four years since they are subject to pay tax and will enjoy a tax reduction of 50% in the following nine years.
Together with Chu Lai, Dung Quất, and Nhơn Hội Economic Zones, Chân Mây-Lăng Cô EZ is the key driving force for the central region’s growth.
The Chân Mây-Lăng Cô EZ was established and put into operation under the PM’s Decision No. 04/2006/QĐ-TTg dated January 5, 2005. A master planning scheme of the EZ was approved by the PM on December 5, 2008.
