TheMinistry of Planning and Investment reported that ODA capitaldisbursement was valued at about USD 1.26 billion in the first fivemonths of 2011, 52.5 percent of the year’s disbursement schedule.
Of this, debt capital was nearly USD 1.19 billion and non-refundable capital was nearly USD 70 million.
Total ODA capital value through agreements reached an estimated USD 1.66 billion, including nearly USD 1.63 billion of debt capital and more than USD 27.4 million.
Over the past five months, disbursement higher than the schedule was due to ODA projects funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) which saw sharp disbursement before Japan’s fiscal year ended on March 31, 2011.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment estimated ODA disbursement for the first half of this year would be nearly USD 1.35 billion, 56.25 percent of the year’s plan. The figure would include USD 1.26 billion of debt capital and USD 85 million of non-refundable capital.
Total investment and development capital for the first six months of 2011 were estimated at more than VND 450 trillion, a year-on-year increase of nearly 15 percent.
