The Song Cong Solid Waste Treatment and Recycling Plant, invested at VND40 billion, was inaugurated on April 15 in Tan Quang commune, Song Congtown, in the northern province of Thai Nguyen.
The plant covers an area of two hectares and has the capacity to treat and recycle 50 tonnes of rubbish per day.
The plant is equipped with modern and eco-friendly technology so it will not pollute the local water, air and land, and the recycled rubbish will be turned into useful products.
According to Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan, the ministry will continue urge to complete waste treatment planning in the provinces, requires locality to soon complete waste treatment system planning to the district and the communes.
