Minister Trinh Dinh Dung received newly appointed Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam

Ha Noi (June 17th, 2013) – Minister Trinh Dinh Dung warmly welcomed Mr. Mutsuya Mori when he was appointed as the Chief Representative of JICA.

Minister Trinh Dinh Dung warmly congratulated Mr. Mori for his new appointment, and briefly introduced main functions of the MOC. Minister Dung emphasized that Vietnam – Japan relationship had been flourishing in terms of diplomacy, economy, culture, cooperation, investment… Minister Dung highly appreciated the strategic partnership between the two nations in funding ODA. Most of Vietnam ODA came from Japan, with the total of 21 billion VND, which is well known for investing FDI effectively.

Minister Dung acknowledged the importance and influence of JICA to the MOC in recent time. Minister Dung hoped to receive Mr. Mori’s support in the future as the Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam to help the MOC in state management, supporting projects in transport infrastructure, urban infrastructure, urban development management, training human resource in building management, forming policy developing housing…, especially choosing reasonable e-friendly technology in investment, wastewater treatment, water supplying, solid waste treatment in Vietnam.

On his new position, Mr. Mori promised to further support Vietnam and the MOC in traditional fields and discuss more about new projects.
