Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi asked the Dominican Government to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to carry out civil works, industrial works and energy works in Dominica.

On November 18th, 2024, in Boston, USA, the Ministry of Construction delegation led by Deputy Minister Bui Xuan Dung worked with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) of the United States to discuss and learn about the system of standards and regulations on fire prevention and fighting; the state management system in the field of construction activities related to fire prevention and fighting, and cooperation opportunities between the two sides.

From November 4-8, 2024, the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12) will be taken place in Cairo, Egypt, with the theme “It all starts at home”. The forum emphasizes the role of local governments in each country in promoting sustainable urban development.

In celebration of Vietnam Urban Day on November 8 and in alignment with the theme of the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12) session, “It All Starts at Home,” as well as to advance urban sustainability, the Ministry of Construction will host the 3rd Vietnam Urban Sustainability Summit on November 8, 2024, in Hanoi. Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Viet Hung, former Deputy Minister of Construction Phan Thi My Linh; leaders of embassies of several countries in Vietnam; representatives of ministries, branches, localities, domestic and international organizations attended the Forum.

On November 6th, 2024, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Construction Pham Minh Ha welcomed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Vietnam Philipp Agathonos. On November 1, 2024, in Hanoi, the Institute of Building Materials (VIBM, under the Ministry of Construction) organized the International Scientific Conference “Materials of the 21st Century”. This is one of the events in response to the 55th anniversary of the Institute’s founding (November 4, 1969 – November 4, 2024). Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh; many domestic and international managers, experts, and scientists attended the event.

On October 9, 2024, in Hanoi, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Co-Chairman of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee chaired the ceremony to award the Medal for the Cause of Construction to Mr. Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam. Leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction, leaders of a number of enterprises cooperating and implementing projects in Cuba; experts and officials of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Vietnam attended the ceremony.
