On March 13, at the Ministry of Construction, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tran Nam had a meeting with the delegation of WB on the development of social housing in Vietnam.
On behalf of the delegation, Mrs. Mesky Brhane, senior expert of urban infrastructure - Sustainable Development Department of East Asia - Pacific expressed her appreciation on efforts of the Ministry of Construction in coordinating effective implementation of programs in the field of housing in recent years. The Ministry worked with the WB to organize successfully the seminar on social housing in Hanoi.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tran Nam highly appreciated the help of WB for technical assistance programs to identify issues of social housing supply and demand, exchanging experience on the development of affordable housing and consulting on mechanisms and policies in the process of revised Housing Law of Vietnam. The Ministry of Construction hopes to continue to receive the support from WB in developing real estate price index and technical support for the development of affordable housing for low -income people.
