Minister Trinh Dinh Dung welcomes Algerian Ambassador

Ha Noi (December 31st, 2013) – Minister Trinh Dinh Dung welcomed Mr. Cherif Chikhi - Algerian Ambassador in Vietnam - at the head office of the MOC.

Minister Trinh Dinh Dung was happy with the fact that Vietnam - Algeria relationship had been lasting for 50 years, and as the Co-chairman of the Vietnam - Algeria Intergovernment Committee, he confirmed that the Ministry of Construction was co-working with other relevant ministries and offices to prepare for the 10th session of the Vietnam - Algeria Intergoverment Committee (which would take place from 8 to 10 January, 2014) in Ha Noi.

According to Minister Dung, the great results achieved by Vietnam and Algeria in terms of commerce, information - communication, agriculture, fisheries… need to be multiplied. In the very next meeting of the Vietnam - Algeria Intergovernment Committee, the two countries will sign MoU in many fields such as health, education, vocational training, sport and tourism… which will be the foundation to further develop the relationship between Vietnam and Algeria.

Ambassador Cherif Chikhi thanked Minister Dung for his warm welcome, and agreed with him about joint effort to enhance economic and commercial relationship commensurately with diplomatic relationship and potential cooperation between the two nations. Ambassador Cherif Chikhi believed the Vietnam - Algeria Intergovernment Committee was the main factor enhancing bilateral relationship, and those will-be-signed MoUs would open up many opportunities for Ministries and enterprises in both country to further cooperate for the sake of two sides.
