Vietnam’s cement consumption rose by 6% for the first half of this year to 34.16 million tonnes, meeting 47.4% of this year’s plan.
In June alone, 5.68 million tonnes were consumed, including 4.63 million tonnes at home and 1.05 million tonnes abroad.
The Ministry of Construction has attributed the falling domestic cement consumption in June compared to a month earlier to unfavourable weather for the building sector.
During the six-month period, the selling price remained stable and the nation’s inventory cement volume in June was 2.89 million tonnes.
