Conference reviewing the implementation of Housing Law, Real Estate Business Law and Resolution No. 19/2008/QH12 of the National Assembly

Opening the conference, Minister Dung briefly reviewed our policies on housing and real estate management in each historical stage, and confirmed the Law on Housing approved in 2005 and the Law on Real estate Business approved in 2006 by the National Assembly were regarded as a large step forward in perfecting the legislation on housing and real estate business, creating a legal basis for implementing many policies developing housing and real estate market. After 7 years of implementing the Law on Housing and 8 years of implementing the Law on Real Estate Business, housing sector has developed significantly and the real estate business has been put in good order. However, there are some shortcomings when applying these laws in reality which are to be amended or adjusted to suit with the new situation in Vietnam.

Minister Dung, on behalf of the agency assigned to draft the amended Law on Housing and Law on Real Estate Business, wished to receive many practical opinions on these two laws from central and local authorities, politcical and social organizations, professional associations, nationwide corporations and companies and scientists to submit these two amended laws to the National Assembly in the short coming time.
