Hanoi’s ODA disbursement in first four months nearly doubles
Hanoi’s ODA disbursement is estimatedto reach nearly VND489 billion in the first four months of the year,fulfilling 181 percent of the set target, according to Hanoi’sDepartment of Planning and Investment.
This year, the city will focus on implementing 20 projects, especially a drainage system to improve the environment in Hanoi, the urban railway line number 2 which connects Nam Thang Long and Tran Hung Dao, a pilot urban railway line, running from Nhon (Tu Liem district) to Hanoi Railway Station and another project to develop transport system in Hanoi.
Working session with the Hanoi Urban Railway’s Project Management Board, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao asked relevant agencies to mobilize human resources to iron out snags in the implementation of the pilot urban railway project.
The Nhon-Hanoi Railway line is expected to open to traffic in 2016 while the Urban Railway line number 2 will be completed by 2017.
The Prime Minister has approved a project to build five railway lines from the outskirts to the urban areas for the benefits of the capital city’s socio-economic development.
