Gov’t to prioritize infrastructure development for poorest districts
PMNguyễn Tấn Dũng on Monday signed Decision No. 615/QĐ-TTg, under whichthe Government will extend assistance to infrastructure development inthe 7 poorest districts (having the highest ratio of poor households).
The seven districts are Võ Nhai (Thái Nguyên Province); Vũ Quang and Hương Khê (Hà Tĩnh Province); Bắc Trà My (Quảng Nam Province); Đắk Glong (Đắc Nông Province); Tân Phú Đông (Tiền Giang Province); Trà Cú (Trà Vinh Province).
At district level, the Government will assist the building of secondary schools; boarding schools, including hostels; vocational training establishments; irrigation works; district-to-commune roads, according to the Decision.
For communal level, assistance will be given to building schools, including nursery gardens, medical stations, villages connecting roads, centralized water works, and providing electricity for production and daily life of people in the areas.
The Decision will be carried out in 2011-2015 period.
