On 14 February, the Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan has a working visit to the IBST. Accompanying the Minister were leaders of departments of the Ministry of Construction.
Attending the meeting were the leaders of the institute, head of the units, the branch secretary, representing the Union, Youth Union of the IBST.
On behalf of colleagues in the Institute, Prof. Dr. Cao Duy Tien director of the IBST was briefly introduced the general picture of activity and development in the subsequent years. In 2010, the Institute has responded to 130 requests the State management tasks, engage in important political work (technical assistance, provide project milestones the border demarcation Vietnam - Cambodia, Vietnam - China, Vietnam - Laos, engineering ...), and to carry out 113 tasks in scientific research, compiling standards... On the development orientation in the future, the IBST focused on some issues such as strengthening the capacity to continue to serve the State management of the sector; renew and perfect the technology has advantages, strengthen the public economic accounting work.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Nguyen Hong Quan praised and congratulated the achievements of the Institute has made in recent years. Ministers was some suggestion to direct such as the Institute need to meet and discuss development orientations for the next years and functions of the Institute must adhere to the functions of the Ministry of Construction and must go ahead, the pioneer, must transfer under the categories of science and technology. The problem how to develop requires us to think, this problem is reflected in the organizational structure, mechanism innovation, management. Human resources are very precious so should institute additional regulations for leading experts, who do science, who work as consultants. In addition to building a team, we have to enhance branding, each of us must be aware of the obligation and responsibility to make up brands. Ministers wish to the institute grows more and more contributions.
