The afternoon of December 3, at the Offices of the Ministry of Construction, Minister Trinh Dinh Dung had a meeting and working with the delegation of the World Bank (WB) by Victoria Kwakwa - the World Bank’s Country Director for Vietnam - head of delegation. Also attending the meeting were Deputy Minister Cao Lai Quang and leaders of departments of the Ministry of Construction.

Minister Trinh Dinh Dung expressed his pleasure to welcome Ms. Victoria Kwa-Kwa and colleagues of WB attended the meeting with the Ministry of Construction, and thanks to the support and interest in the partnership program effective results of WB for Vietnam in the field by the Ministry of Construction management, particularly in the field of urban development and improvement of urban technical infrastructure. Minister Trinh Dinh Dung also hope, after this meeting, the two sides will continue to cooperate in a long-term program that WB is expected to aid in the period 2015-2017.

At the meeting, representatives of the WB presented the recommendations of the World Bank-funded project for wastewater treatment, flood protection for the city of Ho Chi Minh, enhance resilience of urban Tho city, building flood prevention system and improve the environment in Vinh Phuc. Besides, the WB also wishes to know the views of the Ministry of Construction on the path of urbanization in Vietnam as well as the adoption of foreign models to the problem of urbanization in Vietnam to serve the research WB research report on Vietnam in 2035 is being implemented.
