China Development Bank helps build low-income housing in Vietnam

On April 22, 2011 at Hanoi, Ministry of Construction and ChinaDevelopment Bank (CDB) has just signed a memorandum of understanding(MoU) for low-income housing.
Attending the signing ceremony, there were Minister Nguyen Hong Quan, Vice Minister Nguyen Tran Nam, together with leaders of other departments of Construction Ministry, the leaders of the Group Corporation under the Ministry of Construction. Beside of CDB were President Jiang Chaoliang and on behalf of the CDB, the CDB working team in Vietnam.
The MoU is the first step for Vietnamese construction enterprises to access a reliable credit source to develop housing for low-income earners.
Working groups from both sides will discuss the necessary measures to implement the MoU.
