On 28th March, at the office of the Ministry ofConstruction, Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan receivesintimately Mr. Stanislaw Tillich, the Premier of Sachsen State ofGermany and Mr. Rolf Schulze, German Ambassador in Vietnam.
Confirmed that the relationship between Vietnam and Germany in recent years, the Minister stated: Germany is the largest trade partner of Vietnam in the EU: In 2008, the total trade turnover between two countries has reached 3.6 billion dollars, exports of Vietnam's of USD 2 billion to Germany. The trade with Germany is at surplus though the total trade turnover of Vietnam with other countries still of the trade deficit. We now have nearly 200 German companies are investing in development projects in Vietnam. Special cooperation partners of Sachsen State and the Academy Institutions under the Ministry of Construction such as College of Urban Construction, Academy Staff and Management of Urban Construction (AMC) ...
At the meeting, the Minister affirmed that Vietnam's economic development market with more economic sectors to participate in the management of the State of more than 20 years, the innovation policy of the Government in the management and administration spurred economic growth. Foreign businesses also operated in Vietnam as well as market mechanisms and the protection of the law. The current investment market in Vietnam is still variety and German side may invest in the fields of water treatment, waste treatment, waste water, housing and urban areas, power plants, especially the planning regions and urban management fields.
Mr. Stanislaw Tillich said that the Sachsen State has over 20 years of reform experience and therefore have plenty of experience in the areas of wastewater, waste, planning and training and are willing to cooperate, share experiences with the Ministry of Construction and Construction firms in Vietnam. The Minister Nguyen Hong Quan thanked the Sachsen State and affirmed the cooperation between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and Germany in general, the Sachsen State in particular will be very good and hope that after the visit, the relationship will increasingly be tightened./.
