At the meeting, Minister of Construction Nguyễn Hồng Quân and Vice Minister of Construction Risbel Rosquete announced about situation of socio-economic development in general and the construction development of each in particular.
Minister Nguyễn Hồng Quân said, although in the context of world economy and the country to run into serious difficulties but the Construction Company of the Ministry of Construction is to try and achieve growth rate about 12% in 2009. Government of Vietnam has set out various solutions and policy to create conditions for businesses operating smoothly.
Mr. Risbel Rosquete expressed congratulated the achievements of Vietnam in economic development, and that, due to embargo and the impact of the world economy crisis, many targets and financial economic development of Cuba had to change and adjust. Growth in 2009 is estimated to reach only about 1.5%. Also, at this time last year, Cuba should suffer three major storms causing damage to the economy tens of billion dollars, which to date has not been recovered. Government and people of Cuba are doing their best to overcome consequences of natural disasters and promote economic development.
Minister Nguyễn Hồng Quân is also shared with the difficulties of Cuba and suggest some areas where businesses of both countries can collaborate in the construction and repair of housing and manufacturing, business building materials. Ministry of Construction of the two countries will strengthen cooperation and create conditions favorable to both the business to execute the projects in Vietnam and Cuba.
Also at the meeting with Vice Minister Risbel Rosquete, Minister Nguyễn Hồng Quân send greetings and Thanks to Cuban Minister of Construction, and hope that, in the position as co-chairman of the Subcommittee intergovernmental of Vietnam - Cuba, the Ministry will be implementing some specific cooperation in the future./.
