PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the headquarters of the Embassy of Viet Nam in New Delhi, India on January 25.

The event drew the attendance of Chairman of the New Delhi Municipal People’s Council Naresh Kumar, and representatives of diplomatic representative offices and international organizations in India.
The new headquarters is situated on an area of 3,450 meters in Chanakypuri, New Delhi.
After the light ceremony – a traditional ritual of Indian people during special event, PM Phuc and delegates attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Embassy.
Addressing the event, Chairman Naresh Kumar warmly welcomed PM Phuc. He also emphasized that long-lasting relations between Vietnamese and Indian people, adding that the event is of great significance in cementing and deepening the traditional ties between the two countries.
Mr. Naresh Kumar affirmed that the local administration of new Dehli committed to creating the best conditions for the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affair and the Vietnamese Embassy in India during the construction process.
On behalf of the Government, PM Phuc treasured the Indian Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and local authorities to accomplish the project.
He was convinced that the groundbreaking ceremony would contribute to promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and India in a practical and effective manner.
The new headquarters and houses would create favorable ways for the Vietnamese Embassy and its staff to accomplish their mission and develop the bilateral ties.
He also hoped to seek support from the Indian side and local authorities to put the project on schedule and at good quality.
