Ha Nam’s industrial zone development plan adjusted

The PM has approved the adjustments to Ha Nam province’s industrial zones (IZs) development plan until 2020.

Accordingly, the Dong Van 1 IZ will be expanded to cover 371 hectares (up 162 hectares), while the Dong Van 2 IZ will be added by 339 hectares (up 18 hectares).

The Chau Son IZ will cover up to 377 hectares after a 42.5 hectare expansion and being merged with the 164.5 hectare industrial cluster to the Southwest of Phu Ly city. The Liem Phong IZ will have its location adjusted and will be merged with the Kien Khe 1 IZ (150 hectares) to form the new Thanh Liem IZ with a total area of 293 hectares.

The Dong Van 3 IZ will stretch 523 hectares, up 223 hectares, after expansion, while the LiemCan-Thanh Binh IZ will have its planned location adjusted and be renamed as the Thai Ha IZ covering 200 hectares.

The PM assigned the Ha Nam provincial People’s Committee to implement adjustments of its land use planning until 2020 and last-phase land use plan (2016-2020) to ensure they comply with law; organize the implementation of the approved plans; direct relevant agencies to build detailed plans; and perform procedures to shift the land use purpose from farming into non-farming land in line with the land law.

The province was also requested to license IZ infrastructure development projects as well as the establishment of IZs in line with investment attraction capabilities on the basis of seriously abiding by conditions and sequences mentioned in the government’s Decree No. 29/2008/ND-CP dated March 14, 2008 and Decree No. 164/2003/ND-CP dated November 12, 2011, investment laws and relevant legal regulations.

The PM also asked the provincial People’s Committee to accelerate the construction of housing facilities for workers as well as social welfare facilities for laborers at IZs to ensure their living and working conditions.
