Vinh Hai Power Branch, Khanh Hoa Power Company installed Amorphous metal transformers to replace normal ones in Tay Village, Vinh Phuong Commune, Nha Trang City on October 23. 400kVA Amorphous metal transformers are a type of energy efficient transformers.
The installment of Amorphous metal transformers was sponsored by the Japanese Government under the memorandum signed by Vietnam and Japan in 2003 to reduce the green house effect.
In the period 2016 - 2017, Khanh Hoa Power Company has replaced 416 old transformers which had operated for more than 15 years with the new Amorphous ones. In the period, the company has received non-refundable grant of 33.5% of the cost of transformers or VND16 billion from the project.
An Amorphous transformer is installed in Tay Village, Vinh Phuong Commune.
