Many participants attended the event, including, from JFE, Mr. Sodani, Vice President, Mr. Ogawa, Deputy Director and other representatives and experts, and from NUCE, Prof. Phan Quang Minh, Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Head of the International Cooperation Department and many other professors, students and alumni of NUCE.
Giving a speech at the ceremony, Mr. Maeno said "We are very delighted to be here today in Vietnam for the early days of the Lunar New Year to promote this new project with NUCE. Through the lectures of this project, we are honored to introduce to the Vietnamese participants our advanced JFE technology. We bring to this event the leading experts on Japanese steel technology, wishing to provide the best knowledge and experience for engineers of Vietnam."
On behalf of NUCE, Prof. Phan Quang Minh said "The course will not only help to develop human resources of high-quality engineers for Vietnamese construction, but also improve the quality of infrastructure in Vietnam. After the course, I believe that the knowledge of steel technology will be applied to construction in Vietnam and will contribute for making the close relationship between Vietnam and Japan more and more sustainable."
Expressing his pleasure at the ceremony, Dr. Sodani stressed that JFE has experience in the steel industry and has made great contributions of the most advanced technology to the world. JFE has been in Vietnam since 2011 and has participated in many major projects in the country since then. JFE has collaborated closely with NUCE by carrying out many workshops and seminars in Vietnam and Japan. JFE strives towards effective bilateral cooperation between JFE and NUCE.
The history of ties between the two sides started in 2012, and many activities have been implemented. Recently, the two sides have developed more specific work to contribute to sustainable cooperation. Hopefully, through this training course, the project will provide a good opportunity for experts from Japan and Vietnam to exchange, explore, and learn from each other in the field of steel, one of the most important areas of the construction industry.
