Urban design is a field that was formed long ago and has been developed strongly since 1960s such as in the Beautiful City movement by Daniel Burnham, the Garden City movement by Ebenezer Howard and the Image of the City theory by Kevin Lynch. Urban design concerns to people, environmental quality and urban spaces for the people. Urban design is a work related to the urbanity creation, creation of 4D physical architecture for the people (including of the time-scale axis), improvement of life quality and environment for the people with wide and in-depth knowledge in the essence of the natural environment and the human society. Urban design is also regarded as an art which connects planning with architecture, relating to the architecture of each individuality within the interactive comprehensiveness so as to obtain multi-purposes such as: architecture performance, sense of place, technical infrastructure factors of the built environment or issues related to the natural or economic environment.
