The PM has approved the adjustments to Italian-sponsored projects involvingwater and sanitation in the provinces of Quang Nam, Binh Thuan and Ca Mau, which are financed through the Official Development Assistance (ODA).

Earlier, these projects, were ratified on October 19, 2015, include the first phase of the Construction of a new sewer system with a sewage treatment plant in the village of Nui Thanh, Quang Nam Province, the Construction of clean water and water for production supply system and forest protection in Binh Thuan and Ca Mau city water drainage system rehabilitation and waste water treatment – Phase 1 until 2010.
The three benefiting provinces issued documents asking to extend the deadlines to the maximum of five years for these projects.
Accordingly, the Construction of a new sewer system with a sewage treatment plant in the village of Nui Thanh, Quang Nam Province – Phase 1, the Construction of clean water and water for production supply system and forest protection in Binh Thuan and Ca Mau city water drainage system rehabilitation and waste water treatment – Phase 1, which are financed with €12.8 million, €17.7 million and €20 million, will be carried out until May, 22, 2019.
These projects are aimed at improving sanitation, local people’s health and living conditions to promote socio-economic development.
