Property sales in Ho Chi Minh City for the fourth quarter of 2014 spiked 28% over the third quarter and represented a year-on-year increase of 149%, the highest recorded figure for the three-month period since 2010.
According to a recent report by Savills the city sold 4,200 flats during the fourth quarter.
For the period, District 2 and District 7 topped the list with combined sales accounting for 45% of the total followed by Districts Tan Phu, Thu Duc, Binh Thanh, Binh Tan and 12.
Savills has forecasted that for the period 2015-2017, HCM City would have 102 housing projects constructing more than 65,600 flats.
