Property developer Vingroup officially opened Vinpearl Phu Quoc, a five-star resort complex in Phu Quoc island on November 1 after more than ten months of construction.
Following its inauguration, the resort welcomed visitors on four charter flights from Russia, China and the Republic of Korea.
Situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Vinpearl Phu Quoc covers an area of 300 hectares, including a hotel, high-end villas with a total of 750 rooms, a modern entertainment centre and a golf course.
The hotel and villas boast contemporary architectural designs to bring guests an experience that is both luxurious and close to nature while the entertainment area features a wide range of games and activities tailored for people of all ages.
After Vinpearl Nha Trang, Vinpearl Phu Quoc is the second resort complex on an island in Vietnam featuring a golf course, with 27 holes covering an area of 100 hectares, Vingroup said in a press release.
From Vinpearl Phu Quoc, visitors can take convenient rides to famous sites on Phu Quoc island, most notably the Phu Quoc prison where many Vietnamese patriots were held during struggles for national independence.
The opening of Vinpearl Phu Quoc has helped improve the hospitality infrastructure on Phu Quoc island considerably, contributing to driving the development of Phu Quoc’s tourism industry in particular, and the whole island’s economy in general.
Vingroup Vice Chairwoman Vu Tuyet Hang said Vinpearl Phu Quoc is the company’s latest project in its strategy to expand Vinpearl, a brand representing luxurious tourist resorts.
She added that with large investment and enthusiasm, Vingroup expects to soon transform Phu Quoc into a new resort haven of Vietnam.
