On March 23, 2023, the Institute of Construction Economics in collaboration with the Embassy of the United Kingdom held a workshop on "Capacity building to support the promulgation of regulations and policies to apply BIM model for projects" in Viet Nam", in presence of representatives of ministries, branches, Departments of Construction, management boards specialized in construction; construction enterprises; national and international experts.

The Ministry of Construction chaired and coordinated with the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) in Vietnam to organize a workshop to summarize the implementation of the law on planning in accordance with the Law on Urban Planning, the Law on Construction 2014 and propose policies in the Law on Urban and Rural Planning, on March 10th. This is one of the activities of the Ministry of Construction to implement the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister on reviewing and perfecting institutions, urban development associated with rural development. Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van chaired the workshop. Representatives of the Government Office, leaders of the Department of Construction, the Department of Planning and Architecture of the provinces and centrally-run cities, and a large number of domestic and international experts attended the workshop.

The Central Economic Commission (CEC) of Vietnam, the Ministry of Construction in partnership with the French Development Agency (AFD), have jointly organized the first seminar amongst its series of national-level seminars on strengthening the resilience and recovery capacity of Vietnam urban areas from the impacts of climate change, on March 7th. This seminar is organized under the framework of the Water and Natural Resources Management Fund (WARM Facility) funded by the European Union.
