The Laos National Assembly’s delegation led by Vice Chairman Somphan PHENGKHAMMY visited and worked at the MoC on May 17th. The delegation was received by Minister Pham Hong Ha, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung and leaders of functional department and agencies under the MoC.

On behalf of the leaders of Laos Party, State and National Assembly, Vice Chairman of Laos National Assembly Somphan PHENGKHAMMY thanked Vietnam Party, State and People for the donation of $ 100 million to build the new National Assembly House, while paid attention to the progress and coordination mechanism between two sides in the implementation of this project.
At the meeting, Minister Pham Hong Ha said that “In recent years as the project owner, the Ministry of Construction has actively directed related units to implement the contents of the project agreed by the Head of the Steering Committee of two parties, as well as contributed necessary comments before implementing each specific works”.

Minister Pham Hong Ha emphasized that “The Laos National Assembly project is a symbol of the friendship and tradition ralation between two countries which specifically concerned by the leaders of The Vietnam Party, State, National Assembly and Government. In order to speed up the progress of the project, to ensure the quality, capability and design of the works under the direction of the Laos Politburo, the MoC has proposed the Prime Minister of Vietnam Government to enforce specific mechanism for the project of Laos National Assembly House, strive for the end of 2020 the project will be completed and put into use”.

In order to improve the quality of the work, Minister Pham Hong Ha suggested the Vice Chairman of Laos National Assembly to direct the project management board and other units of Laos side to closely coordinate with the MoC in implementing the project.
Minister Pham Hong Ha believed to the Laos experts in designing the Laos National Assembly House and said that with the experience gained during the construction process of the Vietnam National Assembly House, the MoC would consider to contribute ideas in ensuring the beauty, safe in use and utilizing the utmost use of the Laos Assembly House.
