Minister of Construction meets with leader of Siam Cement Group

Hanoi (April 4th, 2017) Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha had a meeting with Mr Dhep Vongvanich - Country Executive Director of Siam Cement Group (Thailand) in presence of leaders of MoC’s agencies.

At the meeting, Mr Dhep Vongvanich informed Minister Pham Hong Ha on the progress of “The Southern Petrochemical Complex Project”, which has been in the process of adjusting the Feasibility Study Report, expected to start in the second quarter of 2017.
Mr Vongvanich wants the MoC to appoint a focal unit to support and assit SCG Group in finalizing the Feasibility Study Report as well as implementing legal procedures related to the building permit for the project.
Minister Pham Hong Ha highly appreciated the capacity of international investors in implementing “The Southern Petrochemical Complex Project” and said “The Project is the one of the most important projects contributing to social - economic development of Vietnam”.
Minister Pham Hong Ha emphasized: “The MoC will actively coordinate with investors to sooner complete the legal procedures to implement the Project. The Siam Group can actively exchange with Minister of MoC to timely handle the problems and facilitate the Project quickly into operation”.
