Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung, leaders of MoC departments and agencies, Acting Director of WB Vietnam - Mr Achim Fock and WB experts in the field of urban development, water and sanitation attended the working session.
At the working session, Minister Pham Hong Ha warmly welcomed Mrs Victoria Kwakwa and WB delegation and highly appreciated the supports of WB for the MoC to make the institutional policy system, sustainable and effective urban development.
According to Minister Pham Hong Ha, rapid urbanisation is taking place in Vietnam, which is exposing some shortcomings. Vietnam hopes WB to share the international experiences for Vietnam in building effective management tools in controlling the urbanization pace. Minister Ha proposed that the WB continue sharing the model of urban management services in the developed countries as well as support training courses for proffessional staffs of MoC and Vietnam’s urban areas, who played important role in ensuring harmonious, effective and sustainable urban development.
Vietnam is among the countries that being strongly suffered by the climate change and sea level rising, so MoC hopes for more WB supports in making policy management and infrastructure management models, especially in the field of sewerage and wastewater treatment, solid waste treatment infrastructure.

Minister Ha also called for WB support in implementation of Mekong Delta Urban Upgrading Project, the Northern Moutainous Urban Development Program, the Water Supply Project in Mekong Delta region, the Social Housing Development Program in Vietnam.
Mrs Victoria Kwakwa highly appreciated the collaboration between MoC and WB, and expressed these above mentioned were important contents that WB would exchange, collaborate and support MoC in coming time.
In Vietnam Report 2015, WB has launched several analyses and evaluations in ensuring the sustainable urban areas development with suitable population density. WB has readily supported Vietnam in developing the institutional policies system in the field of construction, especially in building Urban Development Management Law.

At the working session with Minster Pham Hong Ha, Mrs Kwakwa said that, WB had paid much attention to the water supply project in Mekong Delta region and funded 7 millions USD for the project. MoC should consider and propose priority municipals of the provinces that being funded by the WB.
Mrs Kwakwa thanked for the warm welcome of Minister Pham Hong Ha and the MoC, and wished Minister Pham Hong Ha to obtain great achievements.
