During the 2009 - 2016 tenure, the Association fulfilled its set tasks, contributing to enhancing and expanding the friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding between Vietnamese and Algerian people. An array of activities organised by the association over the past five years like meetings, cultural, communication and entertainment exchanges activities on Vietnam - Algeria cooperation. In addition, the Association members paid attention to local visits to learn about country and people of Vietnam.
The congress elected the association’s new 22-member executive board for the 2016 - 2020 tenure with Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung named as President.
On behalf of the Executive Board, Deputy Minister Hung said he would try the best with the executive board to implement operation directions.
Deputy Minister Hung awards the souvenir for former President of Vietnam - Algeria Friendship Association Nguyen Tran Nam.
Deputy Minister Hung desired to get more supports and guidances from the leaders of Party and State, the Union of Vietnam – Algeria friendship organizations and enthusiastic coordination, responsible and efficiency of all members in executive board… in building plans and activities program of the Association.
Deputy Minister Hung respectfully asked the Algerian Ambassador in Vietnam and all the staffs of Algeria Embassy and Friendship Association to effectively coordinate with Vietnamese side in organizing the useful activities to deepen bilateral relations practically to bring benefits to both countries’ people.
