Minister Trinh Dinh Dung receives the Denmark newly appointed Embassador in Vietnam

Ha Noi (October 21st, 2015) – Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, accompanied by heads of the MOC’s functional deparments and agencies, formally received Mrs. Charlotte Laursen, the Denmark newly appointed Embassador in Vietnam, when she paid a courtesy visit to the MOC.

Minister Dung congratulated Mrs. Charlotte Laursen on her new position as Denmark Embassador in Vietnam for the period 2015 - 2019, and acknowledged the long-lasting relationship between Denmark and Vietnam government and people. Minister Dung highly appreciated Danish support, especially Mrs. Charlotte’s predecessor’s, for urban development, green growth, energy saving, climate change adaptation, waste treatment and urban infrastructure development… in Vietnam; and hoped that Mrs. Charlotte Laursen would try her best to further enhance Denmark - Vietnam relationship.

Mrs. Charlotte Laursen thanked Minister Dung for his warm welcome, and informed that Danish enterprises were willing to share their experience to Vietnamese partners in energy saving, environment protection and green growth – those sectors were considered as Danish strength. The Embassador promised to foster the Denmark - Vietnam bilateral relationship.

Minister Dung committed that the MOC, with its powers and duties, would facilitate Danish investors and enterprises’ activities in Vietnam; and wished Mrs. Charlotte Laursen a successful term with interesting experience about Vietnamese people and culture.
