Ha Noi (October 20th, 2015) – Deputy Minister Do Duc Duy hosted a conference devoted to the draft Decree on Building Materials Management. Representatives from the Government Office, Ministries of Natural Resources and Environment, Planning and Investment, Finance, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, National Defence, Health… and representatives from Ha Noi and Quang Ninh Construction Department attended the conference.
Assigned by the Prime Minister, formed by the MOC’s Minister, the Committee drafting and editing the Decree on Building Materials Management organized 3 multi-party conferences on this Draft Decree.
During this conference, many experts highly appreciated the Committee for their effort in proposing some new regulations on using white asbetos, producing building materials in consideration of natural resources saving, energy saving and environment friendliness… However, to complete the Draft, they recommended that the Draft should identify the cooperation mechanism between relevant ministries in controlling and handling violation in building materials sector; make forecast for building materials supply and demand annually and each 5 years; apply IT in building materials management…
Deputy Minister Do Duc Duy thanked experts and representatives from relevant ministries and units for their comments, and promised to take all fair comments to perfect the Draft. According to Mr. Duy, the Decree on Buidling Materials Management clearly identifies the State role in building materials sector, decentralizes authority to manage building materials to each local province, publicizes building materials planning on website, and applies IT in managing building materials.
