Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Algerian Community Abroad Chakib Rachid Kaid expressed his pleasure to visit and work with the Vietnamese side. Over the past decades Vietnam and Algeria have had friendly relations, good traditions. Algerians have always loved and considered President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap as national heroes of the Algerian people.
The year 2022 is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Algeria, so the 12th session of the Vietnam - Algeria Intergovernmental Committee this year strengthens the traditional and friendly relations between two countries.
The Minister emphasized that the well-prepared and successful 12th session of the meeting will affirm the long-term diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Algeria.
Speaking to welcome Secretary General Chakib Rachid Kaid to visit and work with the Ministry of Construction, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized that Vietnam highly appreciated traditional and friendly cooperative relationship with Algeria. Over the past years, as the Standing Agency of the Vietnam Sub-section in the Vietnam - Algeria Intergovernmental Committee, the Ministry of Construction has always paid attention to promoting cooperation relations between Governments and people of two countries; has actively urged relevant parties to accelerate the implementation of agreements signed at the 11th session of the Vietnam - Algeria Intergovernmental Committee.
Currently, the Ministry of Construction has completed the draft content to prepare for the 12th session of the Vietnam - Algeria Intergovernmental Committee and sent it to the relevant ministries and branches for comments; then it will be sent to the Permanent Office of the Algerian Division of the Algeria - Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee, through the Algerian Embassy in Vietnam. 12th meeting will be held in the fourth quarter of 2022 in Hanoi. During this meeting, two sides will jointly review, evaluate and summarize the implementation of agreements signed at the previous meeting, and discuss and further expand the cooperation relationship in the coming time.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and Secretary General Chakib Rachid Kaid believed that with the careful preparation of two sides and held on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries, the 12th anniversary of the Vietnam - Algeria Intergovernmental Committee will be an important milestone in the friendship and good tradition cooperation between two nations.
