Minister Pham Hong Ha said that, in recent years, World Bank had supported Ministry of Construction from providing experts and techniques, organizing seminars, implementing law building programs and sponsoring projects,… Minister Ha affirmed the support of the World Bank to help the Ministry of Construction in performing better the tasks assigned by the Government of Vietnam.
Minister Pham Hong Ha hoped that World Bank would continue to help the Ministry of Construction in the new term of new Director Carolyn Turk.
On this occasion, the MoC discussed with the World Bank on some areas of cooperation between the two sides including wastewater treatment projects; solutions for water drainage and flood combat in urban centers; projects to improve the quality of higher education; the national urban development program in the northern mountainous provinces; Mekong River Delta water supply project.
Ms.Carolyn Turk took a leadership role to promote World Bank investments and knowledge sharing programs with Vietnam, assist Vietnam to achieve the goal of becoming a high-income country by 2045.
