2019 Vietwater exhibition opens in Ha Noi

The 2019 Vietnam International water and environment exhibition (Vietwater) opened in Hanoi on July 24 with the participation of more than 200 exhibitors from 30 countries and territories at the International Exhibition Center I.C.E.

Vietwater is also in the water and water treatment exhibition chain, organized by UBM Asia - the leading commercial organization in Asia, with exhibitions: Asiawater, Myanmar Water, Thai Water and Water Philippines.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Cao Lai Quang, President of the Vietnam Water Supply & Sewerage Association (VWSA), said that with speedy urbanisation, Vietnam needs to develop its water sewage and treatment systems.

The water sector targets 95-100 % of people having access to clean water in 2025, with water loss ratio of less than 15 %, along with 70 % coverage of water drainage systems, 20 – 50% waste water collected and treated and up to 80 % of water in trade villages treated, he noted.

The exhibitors will showcase products and technology for desalination, sustainable water supply, industrial and urban water management, urban waste treatment, and water storage and wastewater treatment.

After the opening ceremony, many delegates visited to learn about new equipments presented at the Vietwater Water Exhibition 2019.

Speaking at the Exhibition, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Dinh Toan said that the 2019 Vietwater Exhibition with the participation of many countries in the region and the world is an opportunity for businesses, organizations and members to exchange and share experiences, introduce and transfer technology in helping Vietnam’s water industry.

The Ministry of Construction highly appreciates the organization of the annual exhibition and hopes that the Exhibition will contribute to the implementation of the tasks of the Prime Minister of Vietnam assigned in the Orientation on Supply and Drainage in urban areas and industrial parks of Vietnam to 2025 with a vision of 2050; National Action Plan to implement the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development; The goals and tasks of the National Program to ensure safe water supply, Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan emphasized.

Modern machines and equipments are introduced to consumers.

In the framework of the event, an international scientific conference was held with the theme: "Water management towards sustainable development", to exploit the content related to climate change and effect of water environment change today.

In addition, the “Vietwater Engineering Seminar 2019” – a side event took place at Vietwater exhibitions from July 24-25 which is an opportunity and space for leading exhibitors to present and introduce products with high application in practical operation.

The exhibition attracted a lot of visitors in the first day of opening.

The event allows officials, businesses and members of the VWSA to meet and exchange experience as well as access new technologies.
