The Science and Technology Conference "Architecture with digital technology"

Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan speaks at the Conference.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan said that at present, many countries in the world have been promoting the application of digital technology in planning and architecture, contributing to enhance the effectiveness of urban management and developing the country. Taiwan is one of the typical Asian regional examples on the combination of digital technology and architecture. Therefore, drawing experience from Taiwan is very useful for experts of the National Architecture Institute.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan directed the National Institute of Architecture to strengthen cooperation with domestic and international IT experts in promoting research, update and apply information technology to planning activities, architecture, aiming to improve the qualifications of the Institute in particular  and the Architecture of Vietnam in general.

Presenting the speech "New technology and impacts on planning and architecture of the fourth industrial revolution in Vietnam", Master -  The journalist Do Huu Luc - Deputy Director of the Information Center - Ministry of Construction said, now, new technology is bringing great assistance to the planning activities and architecture  such as: Artificial Intelligence (AI) helps to support decision making; Big data technology (Big DATA), 3D technology, GIS technology support development simulation systems; thereby helping planning experts can choose the most optimal plan.

According to Mr Do Huu Luc, the industrial revolution 4.0 has deeply affected all countries in the world including Vietnam. The potential of exploiting great advantages from the application of technology revolution 4.0 is very large; therfore planning experts, architectures and urban management officer actively seize the opportunity to bring the planning, architecture and urban management sector in Vietnam to catch up with advanced countries in the world.

At the seminar, experts and delegates discussed many interesting content around the topic of the Conference, such as: Converting the digital in the construction industry and the impact on the architectural; design commercia experience 3D/ VR - revolution in design, production and commercial furniture; architecture in digital flow; Virtual city technology in urban planning and management in Vietnam.

Speaking to conclude the Conference, Director of the National Institute of Architecture Do Thanh Tung thanked the Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Dinh Toan, experts and delegates for attending the Conference, presenting their views and new perspectives on the connection between architecture and the digital technology world; providing important comments and orientations to help the National Institute of Architecture have more solid bases to build, strengthen research, update and apply digital technology in architectural activities.
