Minister Pham Hong Ha met and worked with the new Ambassador of Uruguay in Vietnam Rosario Portell Casanova, on the occasion of her appointment to work in Vietnam.

The Ambassador Rosario Portell Casanova thanked Minister Pham Hong Ha for warmly welcome and expressed her pleasure to visit and work with the MoC in contributing to strengthen the bilateral cooperation and bringing image of the country and people of Uruguay closer to the people of Vietnam.
According to the Ambassador Rosario Portell Casanova, during the development process, the country of Uruguay has achieved achievements in many different areas including investment, construction, especially design and examination. Uruguay also hoped to cooperation with Vietnam in these fields.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Ha expressed his pleasure to welcome the new Ambassador Rosario Portell Casanova to visit and work with the Ministry of Construction.
The MoC was assigned by the Government of Vietnam to perform the state management functions on: Construction planning and architecture; construction investment activities; urban development; infrastructure; house; office; real estate market; building materials; State management of public services in accordance to the Law.
According to Minister Pham Hong Ha, over the past years, the MoC has achieved many important achievements in its fields of operation, however, in the new situation, the Construction industry also has faced many difficulties and challenges. Therefore, the MoC wants to expand and strengthen the cooperation with countries around the world, including Uruguay, especially in the fields of construction investment, urban development, water supply and drainage, waste treatment.
Minister Pham Hong Ha and the Ambassador Rosario Portell Casanova agreed in the coming time, the MoC and the Embassy of Uruguay would work specifically to set up a cooperation program between two sides to strengthen the cooperation between Vietnam and Uruguay in construction field.
