The Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) organized a Seminar and Exhibition “Business matching in Japanese infrastructure technologies” to introduce Japanese businesses and technologies in the field of infrastructure construction. Representative of Vietnam Ministry of Construction, Director of Technical Infrastructure Department, Assoc. Mai Thi Lien Huong attended and had a welcome speech on December 5th.

On behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Director General Mai Thi Lien Huong expressed her gratitude and appreciated the initiative to organize the Seminar, and said that: “The Government of Vietnam continues to develop a synchronous and modern infrastructure system as an important breakthrough in Vietnam's socio-economic development in the coming time. Therefore, the MoC paid attention to apply advanced technologies in management, construction and operation of infrastructure systems, especially Japanese technologies”.
Director Mai Thi Lien Huong emphasized that over the years, the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan has been increasingly improving in many aspects. In the field of technical infrastructure, with the cooperation of the Government of Japan, Japanese experts and engineers, many high-quality projects have completed and promoted effectively in Vietnam. At the state visit of the President of Vietnam in Japan from May 31 to June 2, 2018, the Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha and Minister of Japan Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism - Keichi Ishii have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between two ministries for 10 fields relating to the construction industry for the period of 2018-2021, in which technological development research in construction field, urban development and technical infrastructure as cooperation contents paid much attention by two sides.
At the seminar, Japan MLIT introduced 10 Japanese enterprises which processed advanced technologies for building foundations, underground technical infrastructure, wastewater treatment, etc as DAISAN, ISEKI POLYTECH, NIHON BASE and IGADEN…
The seminar is a good opportunity for Vietnamese regulatory agencies, scientific organizations and businesses to exchange and learn experiences of managing, constructing and operating infrastructure of Japanese partners, as well as promote the research and transfer of science and technology in the field of infrastructure in Vietnam, promote the good cooperation between two countries.
