Ha Noi (September 4th, 2015) – Deputy Minister Phan Thi My Linh received and worked with Mr. Takesada Tatsuhiko – Head of Projects Promotion Center, Japan Overseas Infrastructure Investment Corporation for Transport and Urban Development (JOIN) – on urban infrastructure development issues in Vietnam.

During the meeting, Mr. Takesada Tatsuhiko confirmed Vietnam as one of Japan’s major economic partners, and wanted to promote greater cooperation and carry out more investment projects in Vietnam. With considerable advantages of the leading nation in urban infrastructure development technology, Japan in general and JOIN in particular pays much attention to large scale urban development projects and wants to join projects developing infrastructure in industrial zones and urban areas in Vietnam, according to Mr. Takesada Tatsuhiko. JOIN also focuses on training human resource in construction industry in order that Vietnam can take initiative in learning and applying Japanese technology in their own country.
Deputy Minister Phan Thi My Linh emphasized the efficient and effective cooperation between Vietnam – Japan in general and the MOC – MLIT in particular. Deputy Minister Linh highly appreciated Japanese techonology and experiences in urban infrastructure development, especially in organizing and using underground space; and said that the MOC was ready to cowork with JOIN in developing urban areas, improving Vietnamese capacity in using underground space.
