Immediately resuming operations at Vinh airport with high frequency is one of the top priorities of Vietnam Airlines, to ensure smooth connectivity across the entire flight network and meet the increased travel demand at the end of the year. At the same time, it continues to affirm the role of Vietnam Airlines in connecting and developing the economy and regional tourism in Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen The Bao, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, said: “Proactively preparing resources early has enabled the airline immediately deploy flights as soon as Vinh airport reopened. Vietnam Airlines always aims at ensuring smooth connections across the entire flight network, especially during periods of high travel demand; committing to bringing customers safe, convenient and quality flight experiences.”
Previously, according to the authorities' announcement, Vinh airport had temporarily stopped operations from July 1st to serve the repair and upgrade of infrastructure. During this time, Vietnam Airlines has temporarily stopped all flights to and from this airport, while increasing the frequency of operations to neighboring airports such as Noi Bai and Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa) to ensure that the travel needs of people in the North Central region were not interrupted.
