Implementing the Prime Minister 's direction on implementing " Quang Trung Campaign " to quickly rebuild houses for people damaged by floods, on December 1, in Tuy An Bac commune, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province held a launching ceremony of "Quang Trung Campaign" to quickly build and repair houses for people affected by storms and floods.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee; Ta Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.

The recent storm and flood caused heavy damage , seriously affecting the lives of people in Dak Lak province with nearly 700 houses completely collapsed, more than 1,400 houses severely damaged, nearly 106,000 houses flooded, of which about 10,000 houses need to be repaired and upgraded.

In the rapid “Quang Trung Campaign”, Dak Lak province will build 684 houses for households whose houses collapsed, each house worth at least 170 million VND. The construction scale of each house has a floor area of ​​48m2 , with an attic to avoid large floods like the recent historic flood.

Of the total number of collapsed houses that had to be rebuilt, Military Region 5 built 110 houses, the Provincial Military Command built 15 houses, and units of the Ministry of National Defense built 153 houses; the remaining 407 houses were built by units of Dak Lak province.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Dak Lak province presented gifts and encouraged families whose houses collapsed and units and forces participating in supporting the construction of houses for people.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan requested functional agencies, construction units, and People's Committees of communes and wards to mobilize all resources according to the motto "whoever has something helps, whoever has merit helps merit, whoever has property helps property, whoever has little helps little, whoever has a lot helps a lot, whoever is wherever helps there", to focus on construction, ensuring that the project is built sustainably, economically, effectively and on schedule.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province launched the program "Housing for people in flood-affected areas", calling on agencies, businesses, organizations, individuals, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to share and support people in flood-affected areas to overcome difficult times; helping people stabilize their lives soon.
