Minister Pham Hong Ha had a working session with Laos Minister of Public Works and Transport at MoC’s headquarter on March 14th . There are Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung and leaders of functional departments and agencies under MoC at the working session.
At the working session, Minister Pham Hong Ha and Minister Bounchan Sinthavong highly appreciated the cooperation of 2 ministries in the field of construction investment and agreed that the two ministries would strengthen the cooperation in further, in the spirit of friendship, tradition, comprehension between the two countries.
“The Vietnam Ministry of Construction is ready to cooperate with the Laos Ministry of Public Works in training and improving the ability of human resources”, said Minister Pham Hong Ha.
Regarding to memorandum of cooperation between the two ministries, Minister Pham Hong Ha assigned the International Cooperation Department (under the MoC) to coordinate with the focal point of the Laos Ministry of Public Works and Transport to compile and submit to the Minister at the end of March 2018, before the agreement signed in April 2018 by two ministries.

For the Laos National Assembly House, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung highly appreciated the role of state management of Laos Ministry of Public Works and Transport in implementing the project and expected the project speed up to implement the next works. Deputy Minister Hung hoped, in coming time, the project would be received more coordination and guidance of Minister Bounchanh Sinthavong to ensure it carried out on schedule.
Minister Bounchanh affirmed that, after his return, he would report to the Laos Chairman of National Assembly, Laos Prime Minister on the result of the working trip with Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha, and respectfully invited Minister Pham Hong Ha, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung and the MoC’s delegation to Laos in April 2018, on the occasion of Lao Tourism Year and the cooperation signing ceremony between the two ministries.
On the implementation of the Laos National Assembly House, Minister Bounchanh Sinthavong said, “he will work with the Laos Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport in charge of the project to further strengthen cooperation with the Vietnam MoC side. He is also willing to receive direct comments from the MoC and quickly solve the problems in ensuring Vietnamese enterprises to implement the project”.
Minister Pham Hong Ha thanked Minister Bounchanh Sinthavong for providing constructive conditions for Vietnamese construction units and enterprises in implementing the project of Laos National Assembly House, and accepted minister Bounchanh Sinthavong's invitation to visit Laos in April,2018 to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the two ministries.
