Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan received and had a working session with Director-General of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) - Mr Frank Rijsberman at the MoC’s headquarter on January 22th.

At the working session, the GGGI Director-General said “GGGI is the intergovernmental organization esyablished to support and boost green growth on the global. GGGI is ready to share its international experience on green growth for Vietnam”.

At the moment, the GGGI is building a Green Growth Index, which is applied to all cities. In addition, GGGI has much experience in developing financial regulations to make it easier for projects to access financial resources.

Deputy Minister Toan expressed his pleasure to welcome the GGGI Director-General Frank Rijsberman and highlighted the GGGI’s concern and cooperation with the MoC.

Deputy Minister Toan urged the GGGI to continually cooperate with the MoC in improving policy regulations for green growth and supporting the MoC to effectively implement Urban Green Growth Plan, integrated green growth into urban planning.

Deputy Minister Toan proposed GGGI to coordinate with the MoC to award prizes to localities, organizations and individuals who have contributions in the development of green growth as well as support the MoC in training human resources for green growth.
